Creating Variety Through Exploration

Materials inspire me.

Unhampered by rules or plans, I’m given the liberty to let materials guide me in my playful explorations. I also create serious work as I process emotions and current events. Trees are a recurring theme.

Recent work is of “nature mosaics” made with an assortment of seeds and dried plant materials I collect from my garden and along trails I travel.

I use various kinds of paints and drawing mediums, handmade papers, cloth, wire, ribbons, beads, and things from nature.

Other ways I share my creativity is in private art lessons, graphic design/layout, sculptural installations, digital photography, note cards, murals, baby quilts & placemats, commissions, and functional rustic sculptures for gardens.

While making art, restful focus comes to me, bringing contentment, joy and healing. I wish to share these feelings with others.
