Hi wonderful class!
This site is for sharing pictures and links we might need in Computer Lab but you can also use them at home.

The grammar links are listed in order of the Units of our textbook, for easy reference.

Try these if you want:

1. Dreamreader: dreamreader.net
- pick your level to listen to (start with beginner?)
- pick a topic you are interested in
- click on arrow to listen... you can read the text below

2. Test your vocab: testyourvocab.com
- check the boxes for each word you know at least one definition for (Don't check boxes for words you know you've seen before, but whose meaning you aren't exactly sure of.)
- write down the number you get at the end (after the survey)
- save the number in your textbook, on the vocab tab, with the date today

3. FAESL blog (by Bob): faesl.edublogs.org
- use the categories list on the left to find what are interested in
- you can translate into many other languages too! (try English first though)

4. English Central: www.englishcentral.com
- chose Acedemic English (on the left), and level you want (top)
- pick and watch videos with words to read

5. TED ESL: tedxesl.com
- click on level (and pick one) or other interest on the left side
- pick video to watch

You can request library books online:

Here is the library link so you can set up your own account. All you need to have with you is your library card. It has a number on it that you need to type into the first box. The directions are on the page for how to make a pin (password) if it is your first time. Write your password/pin down so you don't forget it.

If you can't set it up alone, bring your library card to class and we can do it together next time we have computer lab.

After your account is set up, you can type in a book's title, or author, on the library site, request the book, CD, book on CD, etc. and request that it to go to the Framingham Library, or whichever library is closest to you. When the book arrives at the library, they will email you and tell you how long you have to pick it up. If you don't know of a book to request, you can search the Internet for books, etc. to read or listen to. Or ask me for ideas.

Any Massachusetts resident who has witnessed or experienced bias-motivated threats, harassment or violence may call the Attorney General’s Hotline at 1-800-994-3228 or fill out a civil rights complaint form from the link above. Residents may also contact the AG’s Office through its social media platforms, including Facebook and Twitter.

The MCRA protects the rights of all residents and visitors to Massachusetts to be free from bias-motivated threats, intimidation, and coercion. The Attorney General may bring legal action against a perpetrator who threatens, intimidates, or coerces another person on the basis of that person’s membership in a protected group (e.g., national origin and religion) or protected activity.

The AG’s Office encourages immigrant communities to come forward with their concerns without fear of reprisal based on immigration status.
